Characters

Louie-He is a senior in high school in Trout, Idaho. He is friends with Carter the starting QB for their football team and he works at the gas station owned by his dad. Based on what happens in the book, he seems like someone that sticks to his values, and doesn't back down without a fight. 

Becky-Louie's girlfriend. According to Louie's narration, she is very pretty. She moved from the east coast when her parents divorced and now lives with her dad. Her only sport is cheerleading. 

Norm-Louie's dad, he is a very sensible guy with many old fashioned ideas. Owner of the local gas station that Louie works at. The counselor that maybe Chris Crutcher sees himself as. 

Boomer-A violent football player on the high school team. Louie is deathly afraid of him because he knows that he could beat him up really badly. The only reason he doesn't is because Louie is really good friends with Carter. Is believed to have been a victim of child abuse in his youth. 

Coach Lednecky-Probably the main antagonist in this story. He is the one that inspired the team to play dirty football and kicked Louie off the team. Very stuck up snotty type of guy.
